Job Description:
We are looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our client's healthcare team within the Texas Corrections environment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging setting, providing care and ensuring safety for inmates.
Key Roles:
- Providing comprehensive nursing services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Assisting physicians and managing sick calls.
- Providing emergency first aid care.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and educating inmates on health matters.
Mandatory
Qualifications:
- Valid LVN license in the State of Texas.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in clinical documentation or medical-surgical (Med-Surg) nursing.
Preferred Credentials:
- IV certification is a plus.
- Up-to-date vaccinations (Covid-19, Varicella, MMR, T-Dap, TB, HepB, Flu) and a current physical health certificate.
- High School Diploma or Transcript.
Schedule Details:
- Full-Time Day Shift position (0545-1815), with a 4:3 rotating schedule.
