Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic such as:
Performing welding, installation, and pipefitting duties; Preventive maintenance requirements on production machinery to include skilled welding and pipefitting duties, disassembling, repairing, and replacement of part; and operating various equipment which includes motor vehicle up to a 5 ton, a forklift up to 15, 000 pounds, and a welding machine to make simple precisions. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Screen OutAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Knowledge of MaterialsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Trouble Shooting Physical requirements include standing, stooping bending, climbing and working in tight areas in cramped positions. Incumbent is subject to cuts, bruises, scalds, burns and strains. Requires lifting of items weighing in excess of 45 pounds or more on a frequent basis. Works inside and outside being exposed to varied weather conditions, dust, fumes, gases and extremes in temperature.
